Privacy Policy
This policy covers hardenscout.com, operated by College Tech Hub LLC ("HardenScout," "we," "us"). It describes the site as it works today. When we add features that collect more information, like an email list, a quote checker, or quote request forms, we'll update this page before those features go live.
What we collect today
Information sent automatically
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you requested, and the time of the request. Cloudflare uses this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
We don't currently run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on the site, and we don't set cookies of our own. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to tell people apart from bots.
Information you send us
If you email [email protected], we receive your email address, your message, and anything you attach. Mail to that address is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to a Google Gmail account, so Cloudflare and Google process it on our behalf.
How we use it
- To run, secure, and fix the site.
- To answer your messages and follow up on what you asked about.
- To comply with the law and protect our rights.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site and our email, such as Cloudflare and Google, and when the law requires it. We don't sell your personal information.
If we later offer quote requests or call connections with installers or lead partners, we'll explain on that form, before you submit it, exactly who will receive your information and why. We'll only pass it along when you ask us to.
How long we keep it
We keep emails for as long as we need them to help you and to keep reasonable business records, then delete them. Cloudflare keeps its own logs under its own policy.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by writing to [email protected]. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
Children
HardenScout is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Links to other sites
We link to other sites, including government pages and installer websites. Their privacy practices are their own.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Big changes will be noted on the page itself.
